Follow Urban Explorers as they take a journey through silent movies. Urban Explorers discover the skeletal remains of a steam locomotive. Inspired they take a journey through the silent movies of Buster Keaton, the train hijackings of the Wild West, the rooftop stunts of James Bond, the heartbreak of the First World War, and the dark future of inner city commuting. Elsecar Heritage Railway is a unique venue set in stunning scenic countryside and is an ideal setting for this dynamic production.

The Urban Playground Team are the original performance-parkour (2PK) company combining authentic French free-running with dance & physical theatre. Presented in association with The Civic, Barnsley.

The Urban Playground

The Urban Playground Team are the original performance-parkour (2PK) company combining authentic French free-running with dance & physical theatre. The Team tours extensively both Nationally & Internationally for clients including the British Council and teaching wherever they go. Since 2006 the team has worked in partnership with co-creator of Parkour Malik Diouf. The team appeared in the feature documentary “Come Fly With Us”, BBC’s Blue Peter and Sky1’s Got To Dance. The Architecture For Everyone documentary “Our Urban Playground” made in collaboration with the Stephen Lawrence Trust, features the team’s design of the UK’s first permanent Parkour Training Area. The UPG Team are supported by South East Dance, are ‘Playtime Artists’ at Pavilion Dance South West and are represented byDepArts Ltd.
