Showcasing innovative and outstanding works, the Aesthetica Art Prize features shortlisted works from eight artists from the following four categories, Photographic and Digital art, Three Dimensional Design and Sculpture, Painting and Drawing and Video and finally, Installation and Performance.
Located at the heart of York in busy Coppergate, the medieval backdrop of York St Marys offers a unique and immersive environment in which to experience international contemporary art. This show highlights artistic talent from diverse locations such as Chile, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, and the UK.

The Aesthetica Art Prize is now open for entries, offering artists working across all media the opportunity to showcase their work to wider audiences and further their involvement in the international art world.
Prizes include £5,000 for the Main Prize winner; £1,000 Student Prize; group exhibition for eight finalists in York; publication for 100 longlisted artists in the Aesthetica Art Prize Anthology; editorial coverage for finalists in Aesthetica Magazine; up to £250 art supplies vouchers courtesy of Winsor & Newton, and five art books courtesy of Prestel.
